Aruzhan Meirkhanova is a Master’s candidate in Harvard’s Regional Studies (Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia) program. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan. Her research focuses on comparative authoritarianism, international relations in Eurasia, and energy politics. As an Innovation Fellow at the Davis Center’s Program on Central Asia, she works on a project about the politics and governance of renewable energy transition in the region and aspires to pursue a career in energy and climate policy.
