Alice is an MA candidate in Regional Studies (Russia, Eurasia and Eastern Europe) at Columbia University’s Harriman Institute, where she focuses on contemporary Ukraine. Originally from the UK, she is a graduate of Queens’ College, University of Cambridge, in Modern and Medieval Languages (French, Spanish and Ukrainian). Alice has previously worked in Kyiv at the Parliament of Ukraine as well as in human rights, and she has also worked in Costa Rica in the non-profit sector. Her current research focuses on perceptions of Ukrainian collaborators in Russia’s ongoing war in Ukraine, and specifically on how the notion of wartime collaboration interacts with the boundaries of national identity.
