Emma Mateo

Emma Mateo is DPhil student in Sociology, University of Oxford. Her DPhil research focuses on protest in Ukraine and the post-Soviet space more broadly, particularly regional protest beyond capital cities. Emma is also interested in democratic development and reform in Ukraine. She completed her master’s in Russian and East European Studies at Oxford, and holds a BA in Russian, French and Ukrainian from the University of Cambridge. Emma is British and is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian and French.
