Maximilian Feske is a Master’s candidate of Sciences Po’s International Security programme, specialising in Diplomacy and Eastern Europe. Currently, he works as a desk officer in the German Federal Ministry of Defence on NATO-Russia policy. Previously, he interned at the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation in Moscow and at the German Embassy in Warsaw. He obtained his B.A. degree in Political Science and History at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg with a thesis on the legitimation strategies of Putin’s regime. His academic interests include nuclear weapons policy, strategic deterrence, theories of international relations, and Eastern European history.
