Muling He

Muling He is an M.A. candidate at Harvard's Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia program. He is from China and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in philosophy and Russian studies. In undergrad, he completed a thesis on media in the Cold War and the Sino-Soviet split. Muling is currently researching the political and spatial changes in Central Asian mahallas during the Soviet period. He is also broadly interested in Eurasian history, ethnography and literature. He is also affiliated to the law school at Columbia University.
