Patrick Ambrogio is a Master of Arts Candidate in Regional Studies: Russia, Eurasia, and Eastern Europe at Columbia University’s Harriman Institute. He obtained his B.A. from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, where he double majored in International Affairs and Political Science. Concentrating in Security Policy with a minor in Russian Language and Literature, he also conducted research on religious extremism and ethnic conflict in the North Caucasus. Prior to joining the Harriman Institute, Patrick worked in Washington, D.C., focusing on international civil society issues. His current research interests include illiberalism, right-wing populism, and Russian nationalism.
