Sonya Gupta is a G2 at Harvard University's Davis Center in the Regional Studies - Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia program. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a double degree in Biological Sciences and Polish, Russian, & Eastern European Studies. As an undergraduate, Sonya examined the intersection of the humanities and medicine and studied abroad in Moscow. Sonya is interested in investigating cross-cultural approaches to medicine, the societal factors influencing health, refugee health, and the evolution of the healthcare system in the region. In the fall, she will be starting medical school.
