Sophia Freuden is a Master's candidate in Regional Studies: Russia; Eastern Europe, and Central Asia at Harvard University. After graduating from Lewis & Clark College in 2016 with a Bachelor's in international affairs and Russian, she completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Kazan, Russia. Upon gaining additional professional experience in digital media and law, she enrolled at Harvard to study cyber conflict, lawfare, and information operations between Russia and the West. Her current research explores Russian media narratives surrounding Western philanthropists and diplomats.
