Zulfiyya Abdurahimova-Carberry

Zulfiyya is a M.A. candidate at Harvard's Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia program. She grew up in a mountain village in the Greater Caucasus mountain range of north-western Azerbaijan, before studying European Studies in the capital city Baku. Prior to the M.A. program, she was a Visiting Fellow (2015 Fall & 2016-2019) at Harvard. During these years, she worked at Harvard as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant positions with several professors. Currently she is working on welfare policy of resource-rich post-Soviet countries and on democracy promotion policy of the West in Azerbaijan.
